When faced with severe elements, Stormchaser Kale Stephens chose the Board of Director's (B.O.D.) Series as his snowboard. The stiffness from the Carbon-Tech Topsheet and Aspen Wood Core profile hold up in the extreme conditions Kale is faced with in the Whistler backcountry. The freeride shape, Sintered 4000 die-cut base, and aggressive sidecut still maintain its high performance in freestyle settings, giving Kale the ultimate snowboard to take from the pillow lines of Brandywine to the custom built park jumps of Whistler Mountain.
The graphic representation is essential in the backcountry setting. Surviving in the wilderness is native to wolves; hunting and traveling in packs, these creatures illustrate characteristics key for the Stormchasers to understand in order to face adveristy and succeed. Smoke signals have also been important in history, certainly a tool required if lost from the pack. Kale has become an expert in this field.
