Last year, based upon our experiences at the DC Mtn.Lab in Utah, we introduced the Mallard, a member of the Water Resistant Series that was developed out of pure necessity. This year we bring that same design concept to the snowboard boot line: introducing the 2009 Field.
The Field features a unique full TPR Toe Cap, a feature that comes straight from the Mallard. The cap is extremely water-resistant, and provides tons of durability in a typically high-abuse part of the boot. The end result is a boot that combines high functionality with some unique urban styling that reflects DC's roots. Designers have utilized synthetic leather on the upper to keep the Field lightweight and water resistant. We've also included an Articulated Upper Cuff: it'll feel like the boots are already broken in even before the frist session. An Ergonomically Engineered 3-D
Tongue and an Adjustable Ankle Brace have been included for comfort and support.
Finally, the overall weight of the boot is kept light thanks to the DC's Molded EVA Midsole.
The Field features the Command liner.
