New for 2008 is the Torch. The Torch was designed for riders looking to dial in the fit of their boot and create a customized feel. The Torch is only the second boot from DC to feature the BOA Focus System. This is unique technology, now with 2 zones for tightening, evenly distributing pressure on both the lower and upper of the boot, not just the upper as in typical boot construction.

The Torch features articulated upper construction- it'll seem like instant boot break-in while still maintaining support. The heel pull strap will ease entry into the Torch, while the 3D toungue will create for a comfortable ride with less pinch points thanks to its ergonomic one piece construction. We've also integrated a rigid exoskeleton in the heel area of te boot for excellent support. And although the Torch has all these features packed in, its overall weight is still relatively low because of the molded EVA midsole. The molded EVA midsole is low profile for enhanced board feel, offers great uphill and downhill traction because of its directional rubber lugs, and is lightweight thanks to the elimination of extra rubber via EVA cutouts.

BOA technology's gocus system allows the rider to adjust the upper and lower zones of the boots to ensure secure fit of the entire foot. Three zones of the foot are secured with the focus system, allowing the rider to increase or decrease pressure in each of these areas. Depending on the rider's board-riding support.
